today, we had a talk by U.K. Shyam, singapore's 100m record-holder.
well, the talk was ok... maybe just some thoughts. :)
I personally think that i will not join track and field (or other sports CCA), other than the fact that I can't run, jump or throw and i can't do sports :/ is because I feel that track and field is very "individual" and competitive. I don't like that feeling. hahaha.
yes, i agree that it is a challenge of your own limits and how you can push yourself to acheive something. But i think that it will kinda give me a lot of pressure. that's why I hate going for competitions. hhahah. :D I'll keep thinking. what if i do badly? but i want to do well. i'm representing my cca, my school. ESPECIALLY when you are from nanyang!
people tend to have this feeling that nanyang should do very well in every aspect and competition. that's what happen when I went for a particular competition for guides and we didnt get anything. :( you will still feel bad even if you get lots of encouragements from your friends. I guess maybe people who can take things in their stride will do better.
that's what I'll need to learn! :D
because competitions are essential in life, especially in singapore. hahaha. :P
